Recruiters spend a majority of their time on LinkedIn Recruiter, so having an up to date profile is essential to helping you stand out as top talent. Update your profile in real time to keep your profile looking it’s best (your resume and LinkedIn should mirror each other FYI). You can also put a green filter on your profile photo which lets recruiters know you’re job-seeking (internships, coops, part-time, full-time)! I am proof of this as I didn’t do much on LI when I was a teacher.
