I know it sounds weird, but after 4 years of being a mom... I finally feel like “I’ve got this”. Like I really trust myself to do the damn thing raising Valerie! I wasn’t sure I’d get to this point but I’m here. By the grace of God, I made it 😭 any other mamas get to a point where you finally felt like “I’ve got this”? I’m sure some moms feel like that from birth, but for others it may take a little bit longer (or for me years 😂) and that’s okay! So I’m curious, when did you get to that point?

No, but really lol I remember when I first had Valerie, I wasn’t sure I’d ever feel confident in my body again! Every part of me changed- mentally, physically, emotionally. But the physical changes took me the longest to accept! I was bigger, no longer had a “flat” stomach and I had loose skin and stretch marks all over. I just didn’t feel sexy anymore! Last year was the first year where I really started to LOVE my body just as it was! I embraced my body and everything that it went through to become a mom. Now don’t get me wrong- there were plenty of days where I had to affirm myself that I was beautiful no matter my size or shape, because I just didn’t feel it. But putting in the work and practicing self-love was so worth! I am now at a place where I can look in the mirror and be proud of what I see! It’s such a great feeling 🙌🏾

So yes, I’ve got it! And so do you!! Be proud of how you look, where you are and how far you’ve come! That’s not to say you can’t have body goals, but it all starts from within! Remember YOU are beautiful inside and out ❤️
