While I don’t *love* calming corners (see video from the other day) I know so fans swear by them and these are some great items regardless for kids feelings regardless if you intend to use them for a toddler tantrum or not (TIP: most work better when kids are already calm!) You see, a lot of the “calming corner” posters are too stimulating when kids are actually needing to calm down. However they do make great wall art to talk with your kid and practice during regular moment of the day. Fidget toys are great for AFTER a tantrum or meltdown, when you’re processing. Often times kids won’t “sit still and look at you” but they’re listening, and fidget toys give them something to do that’s soothing during a tough convo. Keeping a basket nearby is great for this! Feeling flashcards are great for activities and *low simmer* moments and feelings books are great for all the time. Yotos and Tonie boxes offer kids a sense of control, calming, and are great for every day anyway. LTKfamily LTKkids LTKbaby
