Putting myself first is honestly something that is slightly foreign to me. To be totally honest, my world really revolves around making everyone else’s life easier before I worry about what I need. That’s something I had to acknowledge when starting my fertility journey four years ago & it’s something that I really need to be aware of now that I’m pregnant. Whether that’s sleeping in a bit, getting my nails done, or binging my favorite rom-com on Netflix, it all matters because my mental & physical health matters. Pregnancy is not easy, but the outcome will obviously make it all worth it. I prayed for this pain, discomfort, & lack of sleep for YEARS. Our apartment is a mess & this week has been an insane rollercoaster, but here we are. Loungewear & all. 🤍 I’m 22 weeks today and couldn’t be more grateful to feel Brady doing what I’m sure are backflips in my stomach on a regular basis. We’ve learned his favorite types of music and almost every movement he makes is quite abrupt 🤣 We have no idea how big he ACTUALLY is because at our 20 week appt, he was measuring more like 22 weeks, so we will see what our next ultrasound shows. 👶🏻 I’m also beyond grateful that I’ve had @joshschimpf to experience the power outages with, along with a polar vortex that cut us off from the rest of the world at times. SNOW DAY! ❄️❄️❄️ I’ve only ever seen snowfall in Houston and today definitely trumps the last snowfall we had just a month after we moved here (3ish years ago). We lost power around midnight last night and it just kicked back on about an hour ago, so we are enjoying the heater and catching up on the local news. Well, we found out yesterday that Brady is measuring at just under a full pound which is about two weeks ahead of where I’m at in my pregnancy. I can’t say I’m shocked because I weighed 10lbs when I was born & I’ve already been feeling him for about 4 weeks 😳🤣🤦🏼‍♀️ I have a feeling that loungewear will continue to be a staple around here as this baby grows, so I’m on the lookout for more staples.
