What a week, and it’s only Tuesday! 😂 It’s all good, but changes often create a little anxiety in me and throws off my rhythm! I get that “unsettled” feeling with remodeling, too. Change is exciting, but also exhausting. 🤣 The good thing is change keeps us on our toes, forces us to trust that everything will work out (no sense in being stressed about it) and gives us the opportunity to remember what is truly important in life.

Kitchen canister sources! Things we keep in our kitchen canisters: our vitamin D and C powder, tea bags, coffee beans and pods, snacks, nuts, sugar, flour, etc.

Be still. My mind is often like a squirrel, racing from idea to idea. I find little daily rituals like this help me learn to be more present in a moment. It’s tempting to rush through these moments, to grab coffee on the go so I can get on to the next big, pressing or more exciting opportunity. Or I can I choose to stay in this one. I wake up looking forward to the aroma and sound of the fresh beans grinding. The coffee and foamy milk poured in the cup. The first sip and the last sip. Tell me are you on team coffee ☕️ or tea 🍵? We’ll be spending the next new months here at our summer house. 😅 It’s actually our only house 😂 and we have no plans to travel, but that’s ok, it’s the best time of year to be at home! What brings me peace and daily happiness is to be present in a home that tells our story. I love being surrounded by beautiful but useful things, things that bring back favorite memories or make our home feel cozy and comfortable to us.

I don’t live in a styled square so I don’t want instagram likes to tell me how I should design my home. I create a home I love to be in and spaces that speak life into my soul. That’s what brings me joy.

What brings you joy? Surround yourself with that. Forget the algorithm, the influencers, the trends, the rules for a perfectly curated image and just create a home you love to be in.

Do you like to cook? 🤷🏻‍♀️ Fall always makes me feel more inspired, but I cant’t say that I’ve always loved it. I think it’s because I don’t like making a mess in the kitchen 😂. I’ve been gluten free now for a year (I have Hashimoto’s) which has actually created far more of a desire to be intentional with meal planning and enjoy time preparing meals than ever before!

My daughter @kynoelle shares a lot of plant based tasty recipes on her account, she definitely inspires me with how simple it can be!
