3 simple DIY’s that took me 6 years to get started on and just a few days to actually do.
1. AC vent return cover: this magnetic vent cover is way too pretty to be covering the vent, but that’s what makes it perfect! Simple to install + it makes a big impact.
2. A new doorknob: I found these cute vintage looking glass doorknobs for $30 😎 Our 1929 home still had a couple of cool knobs that survived the years, but any ones that didn’t were replaced with these. The black is also cute too!
3. Picture rail: how come nobody told me how cool a picture rail would be? Having the pictures hang from a antique bronze chain just ups the picture hanging game.
Such simple DIY’s that make a big impact. Which one would you do?

This room is special to me. It’s the first room I took down to the bones and built it back up by myself.
There’s nothing bold or stand outish about the design. There’s things I look at and wish I could do again simply because it was my first time doing it and nobody is perfect their first time.
It’s simple, cozy cottage, exactly what I envisioned. A place where our 3 kids will poop, brush their teeth, do their hair, wash their body…a place that I made for them.
It’s officially been 6 months since I completed this bathroom and every time I’m in there helping them get ready, I’m proud.
