Spice storage is always a hot topic. To decant or not to decant? We love the aesthetic of decanting but appreciate not everyone has the time or energy to keep it up.

For this client, aesthetic won. We went with clear, tall jars with black tops. The jars pictured here are from Neat Method. They have removable plastic shakers which is key. They also come with a brass top which we love

We jump on any chance we get to use a dark color pallet in a pantry. TBH we are a little tired of the clear plastic or farm house vibe.

Mdesign has great modern options including these wire bins which come in various sizes and colors.
We went with black here but have also been eyeing the gold!

We nail down the product placement before we do anything else. It’s easier to play around with the placement (or play Tetris, as we call it) when the bins and baskets are empty. Yes, this makes everything lighter but it also eliminates the “label noise” of all the packaged pantry items.

In this pantry we decided to play around with different materials. We incorporated metal, wood, bamboo, plastic and water hyacinth products here which made a pretty typical space a little more interesting.
