I’m often asked if I wished we had done a roof instead of a pergola. The answer is no for a few reasons. If we would’ve done a roof, it would’ve been more expensive. I like the look of the pergola more than I would’ve liked a roof. The shade provided by our added lattice on the pergola is sufficient. If we would’ve gone with a roof, less light would filter into our main living room windows.
