This system 👇is something I can do on repeat and if I miss one day, I’ve only missed one person’s stuff and it’s not so overwhelming.

Each person (and category like sheets or towels) in our house has a laundry day. That’s their day, and I only wash their clothes. No sorting through piles trying to figure out which sock belongs to which child. No mixing loads and spending extra time dividing it all later.

I make two small exceptions:
🧺 A shared white load (we don’t have a lot of whites)
🌊 A “summer wet load” for all the damp stuff from swims, sprinkler runs, or pool parties (as needed)

This system keeps things simple, predictable and easy for a partner to help out with. Combine it with a delayed wash? 👌
