Favorite things I bought for our home (1 BR condo 1.5 bath).

I’ve had this AI mini ventless dryer for almost a year and it’s helpful to help dry smaller loads of laundry. The cost of shared laundry in my building keeps going up every year and we’re not allowed in unit washers.

I have it on my kitchen countertop and it takes up almost 2ft x 2ft of counter space.

If you don’t over stuff the dryer the items should be dry in an hour or less. Towels are thicker and would take longer but I mostly use it for sock, underwear, bras and light shirts.

It’s one of my favorite purchases this year and worth the small investment. I’m also linking to my favorite folding drying rack that holds a lot.

I am using the white sofa cover on the 86-120" size since this is a large sofa. It's a true white color and the fabric has washed well dried on low heat. I've had the covers since November 2024. I actually got a second cover in the smaller size to refresh our living room since our off-white leather sofas (sofa and loveseat) are old from Macy's 2011/2012.

The sofa covers come in many colors and they include small cardboard tucks. I also bought separate non-slip tucks that work well for our sofa as long as you tuck them deep into the seat.

I reorganized the shorts in my husband's side of our walk-in closet with these slim skirt/pant hangers I got during Prime Day last week. I can fit a lot more shorts in the same space with these hangers. I can also double up some shorts on one hanger if the waistband isn't too thick.

I found a glass cooktop cleaner that works! I used Autosol, dry paper towels and some elbow grease to poilsh the glass cooktop AFTER I scrapped the burnt marks off with a razor blade.

Autosol is meant for non m-food surfaces so wash/rinse the surface well before using the cooktop again. I recommend using cleaning gloves and face mask for safety.

No Paint DIY Idea

I used gaffer tape (sticky tape which doesn't damage the application surface) to convert my old silver mirror into an off-white frame. It's not perfect up close as you can see seams on the first side I tried but it's good enough. On subsequent sides I used one long strip of tape. Any sticky residue will come off easily with 'GOO Gone'.

Aesthetically I wanted a white mirror to better match my decor but I didn't want to buy a new mirror.

We've had this exact West Elm floor length mirror (30" x 72") since 2013. Unfortunately it was damaged when some glass cleaning fluid dripped in between the edge of the mirror finish along the bottom right which also ruined a small 1" patch of the silvering.

The stool/side table shown here is chipping so I linked to a new white stool I ordered. It should arrive next week!
