Welcome to Day 2 of my CO2 CoolPeel recovery! Current status: feeling a little pink, a little swollen, and my skin feels exactly like fine-grit sandpaper when I wash it. (But honestly? That’s just the old skin getting ready to exit the building! 👋🚪)
I’m being extremely picky about what goes on my face right now. Here is the 'Day 2' recovery lineup that is saving my life:

Day 1 of my skin resurrection is officially here!

I finally went under the laser for a CO2 CoolPeel, and honestly? The anticipation was the hardest part. If you’re curious about what it’s actually like, here is the unfiltered tea:
The Vibe: Currently feeling like I spent a little too much time at the pool without SPF. I’m slightly red and a bit swollen, but it just feels like a tight sunburn. 🍎
The Sensation: Since I was numbed up, I felt basically nothing during the actual treatment—just the dull pressure of the laser tip touching my skin. The numbing took longer than the actual face and neck treatment! 🕒
The Deets: * The Sound: Exactly what you’d expect—lots of little zzzz zzzz zzzz as it works its magic. ⚡️
• The Smell: I dermaplaned a week ago (pro tip!) to minimize the smell of singed peach fuzz, so it wasn't bad at all! 🍑🚫

Story Time! 📖 I’ve spent a long time being "outnumbered," but I’m finally leaning into being the only girl in this house. It means I don’t share my snacks, and I definitely don’t share the throne. 🏰 💅
In this stage of life, my "daily uniform" is usually leggings and whatever hasn't been stained by a sticky hand yet. But these little pockets of alone time? They’re for me. I grabbed some MDP from Home Depot, glossed it up, and built a pop-up studio in my room. I’m playing dress-up in all the "cold" outfits I don't have an RSVP for yet. It’s 30 minutes of 2016 throwbacks, a dirty martini (shaken, not stirred 🍸), and reminding myself that I’m still that girl.
These photos are for my future self and my future plans. Sometimes you just need to see yourself outside of "mom mode" to remember who you are.
