all jokes aside, this is when I do my biggest clean out each year to prep for the holiday season, the long winter and a fresh new year. but I’d be lying if i said I don’t lose motivation half way through and end up scrolling 🫣 our girls are 4/6/8 and we are at an age where my older two could share clothes and the younger two could as well, so rotating everyone’s closets and then making a list of what each kid is lacking from the hand me downs 😬 then of course we pivoted from closets and did their lockers and toys. but I feel so good that we got it done ✔️

I’ll share more details on my organization from today and more systems in place to help us stay organized year round ◡̈

i have more of a quality or quantity mindset with our new house since we sold so much when we moved. i used to have the $20 target garland and then replace it bc half of it would go out every year and then it was so cheaply made. I wanted quality for this house and something that will last a long time. i did some digging and found this garland at @loweshomeimprovement and although it’s more of a splurge, I could tell as soon as I opened it that it will last. it’s beautiful, has real feel branches, pre lit and 9 feet long 🤌🏼

I drooped mine so we used one about ever 8ft. i started this year with the curved staircase and the upper railing, then next year we will do the other set of stairs in the back! the bows are target and the are SO pretty. I bought a ton just in case they sell out an enough for the back stairs as well ◡̈

all of these details are from @hobbylobby and I will be running back in there to see what else I can add to our sweets tree 🏃‍♀️🤍 last year our house wasn’t finished, we were all getting antsy and thought how fun it would if Santa came to our new house, so Christmas morning we came over here with the girls, they opened gifts and were so surprised by the tree decor. it was a memorable holiday we will never forget 🥹

btw we were able to do this bc we project managed our build with a contractor 😉

this garland is a little splurgy but I wanted something I know is going to last and it’s BEAUTIFUL! it looks so natural, it’s pre lit and has real feel leaves. I got the bows from target and can not wait to do the rest of the railing next month 😍🎄❄️
