My top tips for hair growth and length retention
1. Wash your hair atleast 2 times a week. I use Redken all soft shampoo and conditioner.
2. Use a deranging spray that has a heat protectant built in. I like the redkin acidic bonding spray.
3. Let your hair air dry to about 80% before blow drying
4. Sleep with your hair contained (loun, braid, bonnet, etc)
5. Get regular trims (every two months is what | do)
6. Use a wide tooth comb to comb when wet
7. If you are going to color your hair, do a color that doesn't require bleaching the hair
8. Use an overnight treatment in your hair at night.
I like the Kerastase overnight treatment. I have used it for years.
9. Do not put grease on your scalp. It blocks the hair follicle.
10. Don't use shampoo that has protein in it.
