Resurfacing an outfit from last week that got so many compliments… yet I somehow never showed you the full, finished look. Since slip dresses are still very much a thing in 2026, I decided to get one from Rent The Runway and give myself@a style challenge. First move: add shape. Enter the belt. And not a delicate one—something chunky to give it edge and break up the “accidentally wore my nightgown outside” energy. Next: add structure with my slightly oversized blazer.. Finished it off with Sam Edelman thigh-high boots. The length of this dress demands a tall boot, and anything shorter than knee-high would look awkward. Moral of the story: Sometimes the trends you side-eye the hardest end up surprising you. RTRMuse, RTRPartner, and @renttherunway
