The moment it all started to feel real.
 The walls are officially down — and for the first time, we can actually see how open and bright this 1803 Cape Cod home will become.
It’s emotional watching the old walls go, but also exciting knowing the character, craftsmanship, and soul of this home will still shine through every new space.
Temporary walls are up while we rebuild the structure — and it’s starting to take shape. We’re preserving what we can, modernizing what we must, and trying to stay sane through the dust in between.

This is Episode 3 in my Cape Cod Renovation Series, and it’s one of those milestones where everything finally starts to make sense.

A new chapter begins on Cape Cod… For as long as I can remember, this house has been part of my story. My parents bought it in the 1980s, and every summer, every holiday, every laugh seemed to echo through these old 1800s walls.
Now, with my mom’s blessing, my husband and I are stepping into the next chapter — renovating my family home on Cape Cod.
Our goal: open up the first floor, brighten the space, and most importantly — keep the heart, history, and character that made it home.
