The easiest way I’ve found to take white jeans into fall is to stop styling them like summer.

For this outfit, I paired my white jeans with a brown, cream and light blue striped cardigan, a brown suede belt and brown suede woven flats. The warmer colors and textures completely change the feel of the white denim.

And that’s exactly why I’m not packing mine away anytime soon.

Apparently I meant it when I said I wasn't putting away my white jeans after Labor Day.

Four of the five outfits I actually wore this week included the same pair of white jeans — styled with denim, black, cranberry, soft brown and early fall layers.

And THAT is why I keep talking about wearing white jeans into fall. You don't necessarily need different clothes when the season starts to change. Sometimes you just need to change what you're wearing with them.

This week's real-life outfits went from casual white jeans and sneakers to leopard heels, suede flats, fall cardigans and rich cranberry. Easy, classic, wearable outfits for that in-between September weather when it doesn't quite feel like summer OR fall.

White jeans after Labor Day? Absolutely.

The easiest way I’ve found to take white jeans into fall is to stop styling them like summer.

For this outfit, I paired my white jeans with a brown, cream and light blue striped cardigan, a brown suede belt and brown suede woven flats. The warmer colors and textures completely change the feel of the white denim.

And that’s exactly why I’m not packing mine away anytime soon.
