Shade chai lipbalm

you have to make this delicious and easy cinnamon swirl loaf! my friends loved it 🤎, I've had this recipe saved for a while!

Cinnamon Swirl Loaf 🍂🍞

1/2 cup (100g) granulated sugar
1 tbsp ground cinnamon
2 cups (250g) plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda (bicarbonate of soda)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 large egg at room temp
3/4 cup (150g) granulated sugar
1/3 cup (80ml) vegetable oil
1/3 cup (80g) sour cream (or plain/Greek yogurt) at room temp
2/3 cup (160ml) whole milk at room temp
1 and 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease and line a loaf pan.
2. For the Cinnamon Swirl mix the granulated sugar (100g) and cinnamon together and set aside.
3. Whisk the flour, baking soda, and salt together in a large bowl.
4. In another bowl whisk the egg and granulated sugar (150g) together until combined. Whisk in the oil, sour cream, milk, and vanilla extract.
5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, then whisk to completely combine. Avoid over-mixing.
6. Pour half the batter into the loaf pan. Take 2tbsp of cinnamon sugar out and set aside. Sprinkle the rest evenly on top of the batter to form a thick layer.
7. Pour the remaining batter on top and then sprinkle over the
2tbsp of sugar you set aside.
8. Using a knife, make a large swirl down the loaf pan, Avoid over-swirling.
9. Bake for 50-65 minutes, covering loosely with foil about halfway through to prevent the top from over-browning.
10. Let the loaf cool in the pan for 1 hour. Remove and leave to cool completely on a wire rack.
11. Drizzle with vanilla icing (icing sugar, milk and vanilla essence)
