Did you know there’s such a thing as an at-home dry cleaning machine? Me neither.

When I found out I could skip the dry cleaners and get the same results at home, I essentially designed an entire room around it!

Over the past month I’ve been transforming my storageless laundry room into a room that actually works, complete with floor-to-ceiling custom cabinets I built myself and my LG Styler from @loweshomeimprovement It dry cleans, sets creases in pants, and even has a little shelf that’s perfect for storing estate sale finds like decorative pillows. All you need is a standard outlet.

This laundry room has made my skin crawl for 8 years. My peel & stick tiles and popcorn ceiling removal were basically putting lipstick on a pig, and I’ve been living with it half finished for years.

Now it’s finally getting what it deserves.

I’m adding the appliance of my dreams: an at-home dry cleaning machine. But I couldn’t put baby in the corner, so I thought “let’s build floor-to-ceiling cabinetry and really blow this out!” Fun fact: I’ve never built anything 3D in my life before.

The goal is a laundry room that feels warm, elevated, and in sync with the rest of the house. Not just a place to do laundry but a command center designed for how I actually live.

This room has been begging to leave the 90s. Follow along to see if I can pull this off!
