Kitchen Reno 🛠️

We’re getting closer to the finish line for the primary bathroom renovation! I have a handful of things to do and then it’s FINALLY time for paint. I’m eager, anxious and tired...and I can’t wait to fully use my bathroom again!

Still to do:
Caulk
Install a couple more pieces of trim (plus wood fill & sand those)
Clean
2 x coats of paint on the ceiling
Prime the walls
2 x coats of paint on the walls (cannot wait to show you!)
Install doors & drawers
Add hardware
Install vanity sconces
Install chandelier above tub
Paint clawfeet on bathtub
Call plumber to re-install bathtub and change out fixtures

Do you think I’ll finish by my self-imposed deadline of 8/11? It’s going to be close!

I’ll be putting together a full tutorial on the vanity flip but in the meantime you can find everything I’ve used in the bathroom to date right here.

Some staples that I’d suggest adding to any office or library area: this pretty leather desk mat that’s extra long (mine is in damson) and a leather tissue box. Both elevate the every day and add a little texture and a little magic to the space!

I love going bold in small spaces and in my opinion powder rooms are just begging you to have fun with your design. Not too long ago I decided to up the drama in the powder room by adding bold wallpaper, chocolate high-gloss paint and brass accents. The result is a conversation piece for my guests and what feels like a little jewelry box for me.

Jumpsuits have become my new DIY uniform! I bought this pink jumpsuit a couple years back, and I just snagged a new long sleeve grey one too (although I’m thinking it’s too cute to mess up!). The coziest pajamas! This set from @cozyearth has me feeling like I’m wrapped in a cloud. Made from bamboo these will get softer with every wash, plus they’re interchangeable (there’s short and a short sleeve top in the same color). This is in navy, top is size small and bottoms are size medium.

There’s nothing more elevated than a matching set and it doesn’t get much better than the modal sleepwear set from @LUXOME. Probably should be working on the bathroom, or mowing the lawn, or working out, but I spent my morning moving things around. It’s my favorite way to quiet my mind. Anyone else?

Some highlights:
👸🏽finally found a spot for my lady portrait. She’s above this vintage chest I found on FBMP and I think it’s the perfect pairing. I’m not officially working on the office yet but I’ve been quietly collecting.

🖼️ dismantled the gallery wall in the entry way and stole a couple pieces for other spots. This etching above the toilet in the powder room + a tiny oil for the kitchen. I had a different one in the same spot but like this one better. Both were from estate sales last year.

💡 swapped lamps. The brass penny lamp works so much better scale wise next to my new Lenox garden spice collection. The Athena marble lamp got moved to the bookcase in the living room. Both are from @alicelanehome Now of course I’m thinking about rearranging the bookcase.

🫙the tidiest pantry! It may still be plain Jane beige but at least it’s organized. I’m thinking about adding wallpaper to the walls and painting the shelves. What do we think?
