Some days, I don’t feel like doing anything for myself. But I’ve learned that showing up small still counts and does WONDERS for my mood, mental health, productivity— all the things. So how do I show up for myself on hard days? ✨ I shower. It may seem like a given, but IYKYK. ✨ I get dressed. Even if I have nowhere to go and I’m home all day with the boys, I put on a fresh set. And perfume. ✨ I get outside for a walk, even if it’s just 20 minutes. The sun on my face makes me feel like a new person. ✨ I play music in the background, because music is life and proven to reduce stress hormones. ✨ I read a devotional. Each read is 5 minutes and pours so much into me.. it’s makes a huge difference in my day. It’s not about perfection. It’s about being intentional. We’re not just learning how to dress our new bodies.. we’re learning how to show up for ourselves again. Or maybe for the first time ever.
