Date night in Santa Fe 🏔️
We had dinner at Geronimo after a day of skiing. This restaurant is white table cloth and is among my very top recommendations for fine dining in Santa Fe.
Be sure to order the Caesar! It has ginger in the dressing and the crutons are actually more like tater-tots! Yum!!!

I’m wearing a pleather maxi skirt (remember this from Vegas?!) Tucked a winter sweater in and added my favorite leather concho belt from Ralph Lauren. Cowboy boots and my lined hose kept me warm!

Love the goggles we got for the boys- they look very cool.

Day 1 of our ski vacation to Santa Fe!
I start the kids in ski school for a few days each year then I break them off to ski with me.
Everyone got new ski gear this year- tagging it all here for you.

Baxter and I love Santa Fe and the American Southwest and we have made a tradition of bringing our family here.
We have visited for our anniversary, brought my whole family here and now had a more intimate family getaway here. I’ll be back in the spring with other guests.

My kids can run freely here and I feel safe.
We ate most of our meals on site this time (I feel like I’ve tried most everything in town and while they are truly wonderful, we wanted a very low key and relaxing trip this time and food on site is top.)

Come with me to Santa Fe!

We flew into Santa Fe and went straight to the plaza for lunch and shopping.
The weather was absolutely perfect which made roaming the central historic area so nice.
We dropped into a textiles and vintage imports shop called Seret & Sons; Baxter and I were in heaven dreaming of how to incorporate these stunning pieces.
There are really endless worthy shops in this area; it would be easy to spend an entire day or more.

We ate at the Coyote Cafe rooftop and the service was quick and the staff was nice to our huge crew.

I love all of the artistic design features of this city so I shared a few of my architecture/design snaps with you here too. There is really just endless inspiration.

This year we focused on experiences for our kid gifts and gave them a ski trip in 2025. We made “tickets” to invite them and I had these quilted ski sweatshirts made for them to get everyone excited 🎿⛷️They all have them on already! They are super cozy.

What to wear and eat in Santa Fe

A big part of why I chose to stay at @bishopslodgeauberge @aubergeresorts is because the food is incredible. I mentioned this in a previous post- we eat at home for every meal in our “normal” life so with vacations, we take our meals and reservations seriously 🏆
The first night that we arrived, I hosted a family dinner on site at the Skyfire restaurant at @bishopslodgeauberge @aubergeresorts. We ordered nearly every dish and shared most of it family style. The staff was so patient and helpful with the kids, so knowledgeable about the food that we were eating and overall a big upgrade to our meal. Even if you don’t stay here, you 100% need to come eat, drink and hang out here. The atmosphere, staff, food and drinks are top. Don’t forget to drink two Holy Margaritas for me 😜

My next favorite was @geronimosantafe - located on the street with all of the art galleries, it is inside of an adobe home. It is super hard to get reservations so make that a top priority. The finish out is nice and nooky and the food is incredible. We took a 5:30 reservation and spent the evening there.
My number three was The Compound, also located in the art street. We ate there for lunch and the food was wonderful. The staff was fine and the atmosphere was interesting - I liked the art - for sure keep this one on your top three list.
Another lunch, this time more casual, was @cafe_pasquals right off the Plaza. Baxter especially loves it and it was on all rec lists from friends. Go early, put your name on the list, and shop for the hour plus wait.
Let’s talk breakfast- we ate at @bishopslodgeauberge every morning- either their grab and go or Skyfire for more of a group meal/ fun drinks kind of morning. Breakfast, lunch and dinner on site is all wonderful.

I collect turquoise and getting the right concho belt has been next on my list. I wanted a classic traditional style with beautiful clean stones and ideally something made by a Native American artist. I found this one in Santa Fe and it hit all of the marks! My friend, Jen, gave me the MOST thoughtful gift for Christmas- a locket with photos of Bax and the kids inside 😍 I havent stopped wearing it and am so proud of it. She personalized it and added my initials on the front and the back says, “the best is yet to come.” This would be a wonderful Valentines Day, Graduation or Mothers Day gift ❤️

Dressed and ready for dinner at SkyFire at the Bishops Lodge. Our hotel has the most amazing food - if you go to Santa Fe, even if you don’t stay here, you have to eat here! Our waitress, Violet, was more like a host- she was so knowledgeable about the history of the ingredients in this Native American area. Swipe for food pics to see what all we loved 😍 and BE SURE to order the Holy Margarita- a spicy apricot marg that is JUST INSANELY GOOD!

I am OBSESSED with this cashmere leisure set! I wore it for our travel day to Santa Fe and it is SUCH a chic and versatile look. The puffer vest really elevates the look and then I added this shawl for more warmth. You need something like this in your wardrobe and I love Brochu - I have never gotten rid of any of my Brochu pieces. They are truly an investment and they make you feel very put together.

As much as I wanted to ski today and see the kids at ski school, I have really missed our date nights recently so today we made it a day for ourselves. We started the day with a tour of federal public land and did a short hike and then went to an amazing lunch at The Compound and shared some entrees and a bottle of wine. I wore this look for all of it and am planning to carry on through dinner.
I have had this Anine Bing suede shirt for years and never found the right way to wear it but I just got this new shirt to layer with it and it’s perfect.
Comment for you that I told my mom and my BFF- these boots are all you need. If you have one pair, this is the pair.
I have loved having this belt to match it (you know I love to match).

We have started opening a present a day at our house because it’s just too tempting to see them under the tree and these girls are helping to entertain us while school is out 😜

His pajamas are the ones Baxter’s family got for everyone to wear on Christmas Eve- a big family tradition. These are by Katie Kime, an artist from Austin. The kid ones are SO SOFT! Plus, the holiday toile we are wearing is on sale!
