Styling a bookcase 🌱 When we 1st toured our house, I fell in love with all the built-ins. Bookcases are a decorators dream because they are commitment free. They will constantly evolve with the seasons of the year and the seasons of your life (man that was deep 🤯). They can also be very daunting because of all the options. A good rule of thumb is avoid clutter. Try and keep it simple with a few items. I struggle with this and mess around with this particular bookcase, probably monthly. But I love constantly moving things around in the house. (I’m a SAHM so it’s a bonafide obsession for me... or should we say therapy lol). So far this is the happiest I’ve been with it. 👏🏼👏🏼 Key components: * Books- 🤣 I’ve seen so many bookcases that are missing books. Turn them around (spines back) and they magically all match 🙌🏻 * Plants- they add texture and texture is the cornerstone of well rounded decor. * Glass- this level ups the ante instantly. * Pieces of interest- something weird (I have my antlers and the geode) * Framed art/framed family pics- I try and keep family pics a minimum downstairs. Art is soooo hard to decide on 🤷🏼♀️ mine is still the prints that came with the frames. Evolving!! * Candles/candle holders- the easiest filler http://liketk.it/38HKX @liketoknow.it LTKhome LTKunder50 LTKunder100 @liketoknow.it.home liketkit bookcasestyling homedecor bookcasedecor founditattarget targetstyle targetfinds studiomcgee
