I had almost given up looking for a dress that felt different. So many dresses seem to have the same silhouette, the same prints, and the same details. Then I came across this Baltic Born dress at Nordstrom, and it immediately caught my eye.

The romantic floral print, elegant sleeves, flattering waist, and timeless silhouette make it feel special without being overdone. It’s one of those dresses you can wear to church, weddings, baby showers, date nights, family photos, or any occasion where you want to feel feminine and put together.

What works well for midsize

✅ The spiral ribbing draws the eye inward.
The knit lines converge at the waist, creating an optical illusion that visually defines the midsection.

✅ The asymmetrical hem is flattering.
Instead of ending straight across the widest part of the hips, the diagonal hem breaks up the body line and elongates the torso.

✅ The boat neckline balances proportions.
A wider neckline visually broadens the shoulders slightly, which can create a more balanced hourglass effect for many midsize women.

✅ The structured knit is forgiving.
Unlike a clingy jersey top, this ribbed knit has enough body to skim over the stomach instead of emphasizing every curve.

A few things to consider

⚠️ If the sweater is too tight, the spiral can become distorted and highlight the tummy rather than define the waist. I would size for a comfortable skim fit—not stretched.

⚠️ If you have a larger bust, the ribbing may pull upward and reduce the waist illusion. Again, not sizing too small makes a big difference.
