Some manicures are responsible. These encourage booking flights you can't justify. 💙 These gorgeous, saturated, deep cobalt blue press-on nails have been one of my *favorite* manis. Rule of thumb (and every other finger): *a lot* of press-on nails have terrible reviews because either a.) people aren't prepping their natural nails properly and/or b.) they're using the nail glue that comes with the set. 📣Prep. You HAVE to prep. •We're removing our cuticles (GENTLY. We do NOT make ourselves bleed, or try to use the clippers unless we know what we're doing. Pushing them is 100% enough.). •We're using alcohol to remove any lotion/oil/soap/cuticle remover. •We're buffing ALL the shine off our natural nails so the press-ons have something to grip. (The file that comes with the set is usually pretty good for this.) •We are using alcohol AGAIN right before application. 🚨And we are not EVER using the glue that comes with the set. It is garbage. All of it is. ⭐️We're using brush-on nail glue because it gives us control. And if we're looking for the ultimate longevity or have flat nail beds: •We're doing thin layer of glue on prepped nails>glue tabs>layer of glue on press-on nail (concentrating on the middle and adding a DAB more on the cuticle end)>applying at a 45° angle from cuticle to tip. •If we want to skip the glue tabs, we're doing all of that ⬆️, and just skipping the tabs part. ⏲️We're waiting at LEAST an hour before getting these beauties wet so they can fully cure. And if we want a little extra structure/protection, we're using a quality top coat. Are we spending more on the prep, glue, and finish than on the press-on nails themselves? Yep.
