But if I could tell any mom one thing: be a little selfish. You can’t pour into everybody else and be running on empty. Keep your nails and hair done. Buy the shoes or the bag. Go have a drink. Book the flight. Motherhood isn’t supposed to feel like losing yourself. I never want my kids to grow up and say, “My mom didn’t enjoy life because of us. She didn’t chase her dreams. She stopped taking care of herself.” I want them to see that they never stopped anything. They were never a burden, they were my biggest motivation, even when they drive me insane 🤭🤞🏽 S/N: Don’t they say boys usually date girls that remind them of their mom? lol ….
