Some people are naturally beautiful. I’m more of a before-and-after situation. Everything I use for my smoke and mirrors.😏👇🏻

1. Daytime peel-off mask — When my skin looks tired, this gives it that smooth, glassy shine that makes everything look fresher.
2. Collagen sheet mask — Plumps and hydrates overnight so I wake up looking a little less like I actually woke up.
3. Barrier/ceramide essence — Keeps my skin ridiculously hydrated, because dry 40-something skin is not helping the cause.
4. Niacinamide — Helps with uneven tone and discoloration so my skin looks clearer and more even. Everyone should be using niacinamide!
5. Body glow product — Because apparently my body no longer produces its own glow. Makes skin look glossy, smooth and expensive.
6. Ceramide body lotion — Helps with the dry, crepey look and makes bare arms and legs look smoother.
7. Heel cream — Gets rid of the dry, cracked heels that can ruin an otherwise very convincing illusion.

Things I wish I understood sooner:

1. Stretch marks aren’t just a moisture issue — they’re changes in the skin’s collagen + elastin.
2. Your neck has thinner skin and tends to show aging faster than your face.
3. Your chest gets a ridiculous amount of cumulative sun exposure and somehow we all forget it exists.

1. taking eye cream seriously in your 30s — especially a thick, hydrating one. The skin around your eyes gets dry FAST, and you’ll wish you babied it sooner.
2. learning to mix expensive pieces with inexpensive ones — nobody needs a $5,000 outfit to look like they spent $5,000.
3. creating traditions with your kids while they’re little — the random things you do over and over are usually the things they remember most.
4. starting before you feel ready — there will never be a perfect time, someone will always be better, and you WILL fail at things. That’s how you learn.
5. buy the leopard fishtail dress. Create the event later — life’s too short to wait for an invitation.
6. buying the good version ONCE — instead of buying five almost-right versions first.
7. realizing people will judge what they don’t personally value — Botox and lasers may seem ridiculous to someone who’d rather spend that money elsewhere. That doesn’t make wanting them vain.
8. taking your teeth seriously before they start showing their age — “good teeth” means a lot more than just keeping them white.
9. prioritizing muscle instead of just being skinny — muscle gets harder to build and easier to lose as you age.
10. Take the vacation. Eat the croissant. Designer bags and nice things are great, but the memories you make with your family are the real luxury.
