I’m not much of a reader (I’m a visual girl) but this book was recommended to me and it was an emotional rollercoaster for me. As a former child in the system, group homes and foster homes left me with the wildest emotional roller coaster. So many specific scenarios in this book were almost identical to my own family dynamic and experiences. Just hearing from a child’s perspective, the raw feelings that come with all of the uncertainty was so healing. I cried endlessly, mostly from nostalgia - good and bad. It may have even inspired me to start writing my own journey down, everyone’s always said I should write a book, and this specific book opened my eyes to how much my stories might actually matter and resonate. I’m sending this one to my brother, I know he needs it as much as I did! LTKFamily LTKMostLoved
