Let’s chat PRIMERS!

I have a wide range of primers that all have their own benefits. In reality, I could live with only the Iconic London Velvet Smooth for pore filling, Elf for longevity, and Covergirl for a redness neutralizing/pore filling combo!

1. ELF - She’s stickkkky 😍🙏🏼 (and inexpensive!) There’s a reason this one is so beloved, she’s essential for keeping makeup on. I focus it in the T zone and around my mouth

2. Iconic London Velvet Smooth - she’ll give you baby skin with a powdery plush doll-like effect. I use this on minimal makeup days, too, with just a touch of bronzer, brows, and mascara!

3. Covergirl - i’ve only tried the green version of this one, but it’s essential for my summer days! It has a smoothing effect, but also neutralizes redness, so I can use it on its own to take away a little sunburn and smooth the skin, but it also layers as well with makeup.

4. Shielded Beauty primer - this one is so much more than just a primer because it hydrates, firms, gives you a little glow AND fills pores! Realistically, this one could be in second or third place, but they all serve such different purposes. I do find myself applying the iconic London velvet, smooth primer over top of this one in problem areas occasionally.

5. Tatcha - this is the liquid version and the reason that I put this in fifth place is because the solid version is so much better, but I still think that the iconic London primer gives about the same effect as the solid version silk canvas primer, just with a slightly more powdery finish.

6. Iconic London Underglow - I go back-and-forth with this primer because although I love the way that it hydrates and glows, I don’t find myself needing a glowy primer because I have so many other glowy products that I tend to use on a regular basis. This one works so well though & smells like a baby doll!

7. Maybelline baby skin - I loved it while I had it, just love the Velvet Smooth more! (Baby skin is silicone-y)

8. Urban Decal all nighter - I’ve always loved the setting spray but haven’t tried the primer - is it worth it to try it?! 🤔💬

It’s practically Spring with the time change and perfect weather so I’m in full organization mode already!

Our closet was due for a cleanup and after rearranging around the house, this piece was left available! We’ve used it for shoe storage for years by the garage but the kids don’t have toddler feet anymore and it was time to level up.

I couldn’t find this exact piece on Amazon again but there’s endless cabinets and drawers that perfectly fit under 2 level shelving (even with the triangle brackets)!

It’s easy to slack on SPF as summer cools into fall but this is your reminder that sun exposure is the #1 cause of aging, wrinkly skin so having a good base is essential. (Don’t forget the neck, hairline, and ears!)

For me, I have the biggest fear of skin cancer on my face ESPECIALLY and I already have had a significant amount of sunburns from an Arizona childhood, outdoor sports as I got older, tanning beds in my teens & 20’s, and then another decade of straight neglect. It’s NEVER too late to build good habits!

I’ve been loving using GlowScreen as a primer and then a hint of foundation in place of concealer for a more minimal, everyday makeup look!

Let me start by saying, I’M NOT FOOLED! They say this is a new launch of lip stains but I remember having this exactly color, scent, EVERYTHING in like 2010, just under a different shade name. (Praline was the name before)

Either way, I’m so happy to have this back in my life. It’s the perfect base color for a glossy topcoat and it’s surprisingly buildable for a deeper color and it lasts! I have naturally pale lips so having a “my lips but better” base goes a long way on balancing out my features!

Imagine my surprise when I found a clean deodorant that ACTUALLY WORKS! 😍 I tested this for a couple of weeks by the pool, doing yard work, working out, and for a few days straight in the ARIZONA SUN. Now, THAT’S the test!

It goes on clear and has a light & fresh scent - I went with cooling water Lilly & citrus.

It’s an all over body deodorant that’s natural, aluminum, free, and non-staining. I didn’t notice residue on my pits or clothes and the ph-balancing prebiotic worked wonders at blocking any stink! 😍👃🏻

The Kitchenaid mixer has an option for attachments and we’ve had the meat grinder one and have used it a few times but I have a feeling the pasta maker will be getting more use for a while! 😍

First of all, homemade pasta dough is 2 ingredients and a couple minutes of work with zero tools needed and you can totally just roll it with a rolling pin and cut with a knife but this was SO fun, a lot more precise/consistent, and I like feeling like a pro 😜

PLUS, you can use it for small amounts of fondant for decorations and details (it’s not wide enough to make a sheet big enough to cover a cake!)

This is your sign to give your elderly dog a bubble bath! 🛀 Our Max is 15! 🥰

We just fill up the bathtub halfway, (or sometimes up to above his hips when he standing) with warm water, epsom salt, and his dog shampoo! The water alone relieves so much weight and pressure off of his hips. Plus, I can give him a deep cleaning - sometimes I get in with him! We finish by giving him a cool rinse off afterwards.

Just remember to brush your dog first! 🤙🏼

MAKEUP PREP SKINCARE : I will allllways throw an eye mask or two in my makeup/skincare bag when I travel. There’s nothing better than a little boost once the vacation starts to drain me. (Andrew loved using a pair, too!)

Next up, I alternate between toners and think I’ll end up repurchasing the Versed one instead of the one I used because it’s a little more mild and I tend to get red, but I NEED a little extra skin clearing and pore shrinking!

Last, always a moisturizer! Sometimes I’ll opt for a moisturizing primer but this Korean serum truly PLUMPS and absorbs perfectly to allow for a smooth makeup application with no residue! (Plus there’s always sales and coupons!) It has hyaluronic acid, peptides, B vitamins, and niacinamide!
