WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN BUYING A KNIT: 1️⃣ Fabric First: Look for natural fibers like wool, cashmere, or cotton for warmth, durability, and breathability. Avoid 100% synthetic materials—they don’t last as long or feel as quality. 2️⃣ Check the Weight: Heavier knits usually mean better quality, but lighter options in cashmere or merino wool can also be amazing options. 3️⃣ The Fit Test: A great sweater should skim, not squeeze (in my opinion!!) Look for classic silhouettes you’ll wear again and again. Bonus: Slightly oversized fits give a cozy, effortless vibe. Hugely oversized is also a fit that I love, for better or for worse 😆 4️⃣ Inspect the Details: Tight, even stitching and well-finished seams are signs of a well-made piece. Cheap knits will pill easily, so choose wisely. 5️⃣ Care Matters: Invest in sweaters you can care for—hand-washable or dry-clean preferred. A little maintenance keeps them looking brand new. This is an off brand suggestion for me, as I hate high maintenance clothing. But the truth is, quality requires care 🙂↕️ you can’t have it all, ya know? 6️⃣ Versatility is Key: The best knits work with everything—jeans, shorts, or layered over dresses, etc. Think timeless over trendy.
