This was one of our most magical family costumes yet. We dressed up as characters from Up, my husband was Carl (complete with glasses and a walker), one of the boys was Russell the Wilderness Explorer, and another was the floating house with balloons. I got to be Kevin the big colorful bird, and our dog was Dug, the talking golden retriever. It was such a fun mix of DIY and easy costume pieces (linking everything I can!). The kids totally got into character and the photos from this year are still some of my favorites. Our Mario Halloween family costume was pure chaos in the best way. The boys were Toad and Mario, my husband was Yoshi, our dog went full villain as Bowser, and I very pregnant at the time was the Bullet (or cannonball? IYKYK 😂). Honestly, being a giant flying projectile while waddling around trick-or-treating felt a little too on the nose, but it made the kids laugh and that’s what mattered. Pokémon Halloween: Family Edition - Last year’s Halloween costume theme: Pokémon! I dressed as Misty and carried our youngest as Togepi easily one of my favorite baby-in-a-costume moments ever. My husband was Ash (he was a good sport 😂), the boys picked Pikachu and Charmander, and even our dog joined in as Bulbasaur. Most of our costume pieces were mix-and-match finds and super comfy (linking what I can!). Family costumes with three kids and a dog are chaotic but worth it 💛
