I’ve been getting so many questions about my filming setup, so here it is. 🎥 Camera: I film on the Sony Alpha a7C. I love this camera because it’s compact, creator-friendly, and gives super crisp, clean footage without feeling bulky or intimidating. 🔍 Lens: I’m using the Sony FE 35mm f/1.4 GM lens (a prime lens — no zoom). This lens is everything if you want that soft background blur, sharp focus, and a very natural, flattering frame for tutorials. It’s perfect for hair content because it keeps detail without distortion. 💡 Lighting: I use two round bi-color lights from Neewer positioned on each side of me. This gives even lighting, reduces shadows, and keeps skin tones looking natural. I can adjust the warmth depending on the time of day, which is key when filming at home. 💡 Vanity mirror: My light-up vanity mirror is also on while filming. It adds extra frontal light and helps eliminate harsh shadows under the eyes — especially important for close-up hair and beauty shots. This combo gives me bright, clean, professional-looking footage without needing a full studio. It’s the same setup I use for GRWM videos, hair tutorials, makeup content, and lifestyle filming.
