Fifty seven Fridays by Myra sack This was one of the most beautiful and difficult books that I have ever read. A tragic, true story, about a family's experience with Tay Sachs, a fatal and neurodegenerative disease. After the diagnosis of their 1 year old daughter, this incredible couple celebrates every Friday, calling them Shabbirthdays, to celebrate all the birthdays that they will not get to experience with their beautiful daughter, Havi. Through letters that they write to their daughter, during and after her way too short life, and special experiences they make, they somehow manage to make every parent's nightmare into a magnificent life together. With help from family and close friends, they shower their daughter with so much love. This story literally ripped my heart out - but somehow I also found myself smiling and laughing through the everyday moments. A must read about grief, love and the bonds of a family.
