Senior dog moms understand this kind of fear. 🐾💙

Our beach staycation took an unexpected turn when Teddy, my 9-year-old Goldendoodle, suddenly refused to put weight on one of his back legs. He couldn’t get up on his own and wouldn’t walk for almost 24 hours.

Thankfully, with my medical background, I felt comfortable monitoring him closely, and he gradually recovered. It was a scary reminder that our dogs are getting older and that supporting their joint health is something I don’t want to overlook.

Created my little backyard retreat 🌿🦋

What started as a small unused patio area turned into my favorite outdoor escape. I added these Wayfair recliners (that I assembled myself 🙌🏻), a patio table that doubles as a drink cooler, a solar umbrella, mosquito zapper, and a remote-control misting fan for those hot Florida days.

The sweetest addition is the butterfly piece 🦋 — a little tribute after we released butterflies here during my son’s Celebration of Life. Now this space feels peaceful, cozy, and full of memories.

Of course Karma, Sookie & everyone had to inspect the new furniture first 😂🐾
