Clips and combs that are always with me. The never let go combs are SO smooth and the large tooth comb is great for detangling and softening beachy texture and glam waves. My carbon combs - those have the metal tail - are my working combs that I use for 98% of styling! I keep a variety of clips on hand and always have “extra” to ensure there’s plenty on hand. Creaseless clips are a necessity to pin back face framing pieces while makeup is being done without disturbing a finished style.

The MUST HAVE items in my kit that aren’t hot tools! These are necessities to creating any style, anywhere. A razor for trimming face framing and extensions, strong hair clips for any texture, donuts and hair nets to create shape and bulk when needed, hair bungees and elastics to hold styles, a variety of sizes of pins and a magnetic bracelet to grab them easily, and teasing/smoothing combs!

The flat irons I keep close by! The GHD and Dyson are tied for top spot by me. Being able to use the Dyson plugged in or cordless can be a game changer on site. The GHD heats evenly and quickly and is so comfortable to use. The GHD cordless mini is great for quick touch ups out the door (battery lasts about 20min) if you don’t already have a cordless flat iron! The Sutra is a great intro iron and heats up VERY quickly, plus those rose gold plates are beautiful.

The curling irons I keep in my kit for on site work! A variety of sizes is necessary. I keep a 3/4” and 1” in standard barrel size, and then a 1.25” and 1.5” in an extra long barrel. I also like having a chopstick styling wand on hand for working with natural curls! I use these irons as both standard irons and for wrapping the hair around wand style. They last a long time and heat quickly and evenly!

My wedding kit extra MUST HAVES. The amount of times that a seam ripper and a safety pin save a wedding day is unbelievable. A dress needs a safety pinned or stitched for extra security, a bit of wine splashed out - hello tide pen, lint rollers for any unexpected fuzz, and that speaker gets the morning started right EVERY time. These additions help you as the vendor - or maid of honor! - stand out and keep everything moving smoothly.

Undone beachy waves with a 1.25” iron. The trick here is after each curl, to twist the iron out of the curl before starting the next one. This stretches the shape out and keeps it more lived in! Alternate which way you curl to keep them soft. After they’ve cooled down completely, break them up with an oil and shake them loose! The curling iron has an extra long barrel - perfect for medium to longer hair. It heats up quickly and evenly and it’s so smooth to use. One of my favorites.

Instant boho by adding in this extension piece. From medium length to long braid in a flash. Start with a topsy tail at the beginning of your braid to help contain any shorter pieces and layers, and then braid whichever way you prefer! I did a fishtail here. Fluff it up, and hide the elastic at the end by doing one more topsy tail and tightening it up. This also gives the ends a more boho effect. Halo eye is done with using tease from UD naked palette and NYX glitter glue and glitter.
