I’ve been obsessed with Underpainting lately. By layering your sculpt, highlight, and blush underneath a sheer veil of foundation, you get a lifted, airbrushed finish using about half the product. It’s the ultimate secret for a fresh, "lit-from-within" glow that doesn't settle into fine lines.

Here is your Underpainting Starter Kit checklist:

* [ ] Cream Contour or Bronzer Stick: Choose a cool-toned shade for sculpting or a warm-toned shade for a sun-kissed lift.
* [ ] Brightening Concealer: Opt for a formula 1–2 shades lighter than your skin tone to bring light to the center of the face.
* [ ] Cream or Liquid Blush: A high-pigment cream is best, as it needs to show through the foundation layer.
* [ ] Sheer Foundation or Skin Tint: The key is transparency. If the foundation is too full-coverage, you’ll hide all the work you did underneath. Look for "serum" or "tint" in the name.
* [ ] Hydrating Setting Spray: To "melt" the layers together and give that lived-in, glass-skin finish.
* [ ] Translucent Setting Powder: Only for targeted areas (like under the eyes or around the nose) to ensure the look lasts all day.

The best fall lip combo is the one you actually wear. I’ve been in a rosy mood lately. I’m wearing: @rhode ‘Lunge’ liner + @makeupbymario in Rosewood glow✨

My eye makeup secrets for bigger, lifted eyes.

I start with a @armanibeauty liquid eyeshadow, applying just above my natural fold with my eyes open to create lift, then blend it across the mobile lid for depth. Next, I layer a @makeupbymario deeper brown shade in a sideways “V” at the outer corner and extend it along the outer third of the lower lash line for definition.

To open the eyes even more, I run a @maybelline nude pencil through my waterline and extend it straight from the outer corner—this not only elongates the eye but also creates a guide for the liner that comes next. Using a @benefitcosmetics fine brow pencil, I am deepening the outer corner of my lower lash line and extending the lower ring past my eye. With a @maybelline fine liquid liner, I draw a straight line from my top lid outward, keeping it subtle and never past the crease (that’s key for hooded eyes). I’ve created parallel lines that contrast beautifully with the nude pencil for a double-liner effect.

From there, I curl my lashes, apply @lancomeofficial primer, and layer @yslbeauty mascara for lift. I make sure to use a lash comb between every layer. To finish, I take a @makeupforever dark brown or black liner and carefully dot it between the lashes along the lash line. This adds depth and makes lashes look fuller.

The result? Bright, lifted, defined eyes—soft glam that works every time.

It really starts with great skincare… but that’s another reel.

How I did it:

@itcosmetics Bye bye undereye - color correction using a deep tan shade and then I contour and carve out my features

@saiebeauty Dew Blush in Sweetie applied above cheekbones to my temples for a lifting effect

@lorealparis Lumi Glotion applied over top my blush for a luminous lit from within look

@armanibeauty Luminous Silk Concealer for under eye brightness and lift at the inner and outer corners and under my lips to counter the shadow from the downturn (thank you maturing skin).

@diorbeauty Foundation Stick helps blend this all seamlessly. I make sure to not over the blush but just hit the edges for a cohesive look.

Pro tip: I use my damp blender between each step to keep it looking sheer and dewy.

@hudabeauty powder to set the undereyes and everyday I move that tends to crease, like my smile lines because I’m always smiling.

Of course, I add a little more blush, some gloss and that’s the look!
