First solo-outing postpartum 💗

One thing I kept hearing well before kids were even a thought for me was how much moms regretted neglecting themselves postpartum. So many mothers in my life have repeated the same sentiment “Don’t forget about you” and this is me listening. These last 2 weeks have been filled with loving on my baby girl but also leaning on my village. Putting in the work to bond & provide for her in every way I can but also willingly giving the reigns to my husband because it’s not my job alone. There is such a strong and innate pull to do every task by myself, to tell my husband I got it, and to not lean on the village I prayed for, but I’ve actively refused to allow myself to fall in that routine. I am so grateful for the mothers who reached out to give me that advice because it has played such a large role in why these first two weeks and my first solo outing has been such a good experience. God has truly been soo good and I pray that the weeks to come are just as good🤍
