Pirates and Princesses - Double Birthday Party! Hosting a birthday party is hard work no matter what, but making it a combo party for 2 kiddos is both double the fun and double the trouble! 😆 Ollie and Flora picked their theme almost a year ago - randomly while on the swing set and stuck to it the entire year. That helped make things a bit easier as I was able to get a few ideas - princess theming was simple but pirates proved a bit more challenging. Luckily, I found adorable decor, got creative and even made a few of my own! We had the party at a play center with very limited time to decorate, so it wasn’t quite what I had envisioned but it worked. Could I have gone all out at home and made it bigger? Absolutely! Would it have been more stressful with the cleaning and the preparing the house for guests? You bet! Plus, the kids really enjoyed the play center so it was fun for this year. Maybe next year I can go all out again like last year. All right, friends! Linking all of my Christmas home finds that are still in stock! I got the Anthropologie boho garland last yet after Christmas for an absolute steal and have used it on my mantle and stairway, and am doing a neutral woodland theme. Obviously, much more to come but sharing the links before all the good stuff sells out. I found a similar boho tassel garland over at Michael’s and you could easily combine with a bell garland for a similar look. I’ll be adding twinkle lights and decorating the tree soon - I was lucky to get several of the flocked ornaments from Target and Homegoods recently so don’t lose hope if they are out of stock - just keep checking. I achieved the mantle swag with two Target faux cedar garlands, one Target Eucalyptus and Pine garland, and one preserved cedar garland on top. The tree is so, so good - 7.5 foot with 700 real soft yellow bulb lights and currently on special at Amazon for $221 with a limited deal (we also got a free Echo Pop and Smartplug with the purchase of the tree with code ALEXATREE, so don’t forget to add at checkout!). Let me tell ya about Covington, LA, the cutest little city close to New Orleans (but not too close) with an amazing food scene that makes for such a romantic getaway with your honey! The quaint boutiques and Spanish moss covered oak trees are perfect for casual exploration and I had so much fun wearing all my floral sundresses as we walked through downtown. Lots of belt bags in stock over at Lululemon! Loving the new styles for spring and if you have one already, you know how awesome these are for every day wear. I was so on the fence with my first one and I’m not joking when I say I wear mine every time I go out. It is just so convenient and you can fit everything you need - really the perfect mom bag when you don’t feel like carrying a diaper bag and just need your necessities. I also love that I no longer have the weight of a purse on my shoulders and my arms are free to carry the kiddos! Oh, and I’ve gotten the Amazon dupes - they just don’t compare in quality to me and I never use them. As a fyi, I picked up the one in the pic and the tie dye (I also have the black with white name on strap and gold hardwear - LOVE) - I think they will be perfect for spring and summer!!! Currently on sale for 40% off at Target and seriously the cutest little work and hobby garage shop - there’s a bench and table inside for arts and crafts and plenty of space to store all their supplies. Outside there’s a tool area and work space to get some practice in. We love that it compliments their little cottage house and this mom especially loves that we can get the art supplies (paints!) out of the main house, plus enjoy the beautiful spring weather we will be having soon! Anyone else getting their yards kid-friendly for spring and summer weather? Next on our list are a sandbox with benches, pergola, garden, and memory garden. We have so much planned and can’t wait to have a beautiful space for us to watch them play!

Ours didn’t show at any local Clubs but when we called and they checked, it was listed under a different item number. So, always call! They are so gorgeous, they are perfect for displaying on your stovetop and look way more expensive than they actually are! Some colors are marked down as well!

$Finally got my hands on the Sams Club anthro primrose mirror dupe! The Azalea Park Gold Metal Filigree Leaner Framed Wall Mirror is almost exactly the same dimensions as the 6’ Primrose (72x36x1.75) and a fraction of the price ($149.98 vs $1,198.00) - plus, pickup means no shipping costs, which would start around $149 with Anthro’s furniture shipping. So, yeah, I basically got this beautiful mirror for the price of the shipping costs! The best part - it is extremely high quality, very heavy (59 lbs) and comes with wall attachment for safety for us moms of littles. My recommendation is for you to check statewide at your Sam’s Club - even though there wasn’t any in stock at our local clubs, we were able to pick up ours about an hour from my parents home where we were visiting this past weekend. I am linking it along with some other dupes and, of course, the original! Kirkland’s has their very similar and gorgeous mirror on sale right now for 15% off, so another great option for those who don’t have access to Sam’s. My only note is that my top fit a little snug for a size large - I typically like my shirts oversized for my tall frame. But, not a huge deal and still worth it!
