Let’s talk bin size & what important considerations to keep in mind before investing in a system. This picture shows two of the post popular sizes for balloon storage, the Large (top) and the Long/Deep (bottom). Clearly the storage capacity is greatly different for both. While I do have both sizes, I use the Long/Deep for my main inventory of Kalisan balloons. I like to keep every color in every size on hand so I’m never without what I need. As for other brands that I only keep a limited inventory of, I use the standard Large bin. But, it has one less compartment so I can only keep 3 sizes instead of 4. Another huge consideration is the shelving system. While the Large bin pairs well with the Billy bookshelf from IKEA, the Long/Deep bin is about 5 inches too long. There are very few options on the market that can accommodate this size, especially if you want something that looks more polished and not like garage storage. Because of this, I found the Pax system at IKEA to be perfect. Not only do the shelves accommodate the bin size, they can also be highly customized to fit your needs! For instance, I LOVE the pants rack for storing tissue paper for fringe! The drawers are also perfect for storing all the little extras & tools I need to keep on hand. Plus, it makes the most beautiful aesthetic backdrop and is incredibly eye catching for content! Remember to measure your space and plan out your system before purchasing! It’s important to consider how many bins you’ll want to store plus the width of the shelf you choose. This is an investment but one that is very well worth it!
