The other day I was reminded of someone who has caused me a lot of pain that I desperately want to be over and I remembered who I used to be in that pain. I used to sit in it, unable to move & that is the difference between how I felt vs how I feel now. This pain has been the proverbial ogre on my back for longer than I can remember. When it resurfaces, I talk about it only briefly, find a way to let it out physically & then "change the channel" (I wrote a blog post about what this is) Don't fool yourself: healing isn't about forgetting what happened to you, it's about making better choices afterwards. http://liketk.it/2WOvI @liketoknow.it #liketkit
