For most of my life, I thought I was just destined to be obese because I have PCOS.

I’ve been overweight since I was a kid. I have insulin resistance. I always assumed it was all connected and that losing weight would be next to impossible.

But not everyone with PCOS is obese.

So that made me stop and think.

Was it PCOS?
Was it insulin resistance?
Was it my habits?
Was it all of it feeding each other?

I’m still obese. The scale says 259. But my A1C is 5.8. My triglycerides went from 150 to 75. I’ve lost inches from Pilates even when the scale barely moved. My metabolic health is better than it’s been in years.

I’m not pretending to have the answer. I’m just questioning the story I told myself for decades.

If you have PCOS and you’ve ever felt like your body was just “how it is,” I see you.

I’m trying to become the version of me with PCOS who isn’t defined by it.

These are just the things that I buy pretty much on repeat the brow pencil is so good and if you’re blonde like me, I highly recommend buying the color taupe because it looks natural on. The body scrub is just one of those little luxury things that I love to have for the bath and it just keeps my skin really soft highly recommend these to get rid of strawberry legs.

What I didn’t say is the actual change I made👇

I stopped using powder products.

Say “ME + what you want linked” so I can send the 🔗🔗🔗. Example: “ME link the lipstick” This makes sure you actually get the link you want.

I’m not telling you not to wear foundation. If you like coverage or you have a reason you want it, wear it. This isn’t a rule and it’s definitely not a moral stance on makeup.

For me, after 40, I started noticing something felt off. So I compared videos side by side. With foundation. Without foundation. Same lighting. Same makeup otherwise.

I didn’t look better with it.
Honestly, I looked worse.

The foundation covered my skin so completely that you couldn’t see any real skin anymore. It flattened everything. It aged me. It made my face look heavier instead of fresher.

Taking it away let my skin show again. Texture and all. And that’s what made the biggest difference for me.

This is just what worked on my face, on my skin, at this stage.
Not advice. Not a command. Just a personal shift that changed how I look on camera and in real life.
