We had to wait around 2 months for our fancy IKEA countertops to arrive, but we needed to use our kitchen. Enter these $70 white laminate countertops! And even though they are temporary, I had to share them because I was amazed at their quality and by how beautiful they are. I know there’s someone out there who needs to know these exist! 🙏🏼

I just tried these glue on nails for the first time ever, and I can’t believe I haven’t done this before! I am never paying for a nail manicure again.

Demo with kids in the house should come with a warning label… but honestly the real danger is the dust you can’t see. Proof you don’t have to be a professional to put up crown moulding yourself. You just have to be creative enough to fill in the gap! (But like who made crown moulding so hard??)

“I’m too busy, it’s too overwhelming, I don’t have the skills, I’ve never done it before”… all things I used to say whenever I dreamed about renovating my old, stinky house.

And then our only bathtub broke when my son was 3 months old and I had no choice but to try to renovate my bathroom! 😆 We couldn’t afford to hire someone, so I watched tutorials, thrifted some old tools at yard sales, and fixed it myself it.

Turns out, I could actually make the time, I could tackle it one step at a time, and I learned the skills. And I have since fallen in love with DIY and home renovations.

Color theory should be illegal. Here’s proof of why you should always get paint samples- without them, it’s impossible to choose a color that looks good in every light! I think this one does that, although it can look completely different during the day.

I’ve shared a full post on safe crib practices if you want a deeper dive, but in general: flat mattress, fitted sheet, and nothing else is what’s recommended for sleep. Safety is always my top priority 💛
