Back-to-school shopping adds up fast, and one of the easiest ways to waste time (and money) is guessing your kids’ shoe size.

I keep this little shoe sizer at home and use it before I order anything. It takes about 10 seconds, helps me order the right size the first time, and has saved me from so many unnecessary returns.

If you’re shopping for back-to-school shoes, I definitely recommend grabbing one before you start.

We’ve had them for years, and they’re still one of my son’s most-played-with toys. I love seeing how his creations have become more and more elaborate as he’s gotten older.
