I successfully summited Mount Whitney on October 2, 2021, the tallest mountain in the lower 48 states, standing at 14,505ft! Although I’ve done some pretty intense hikes since then, I’d say Whitney still takes first place for my hardest achievement. A journey I’m incredibly grateful to have made, and a feat I’m proud to have completed. 22 miles round trip with 6,200ft of elevation gain. My North Face Classic Down Jacket kept me warm, even in the freezing winds at the summit!
