I’ve gained some weight, and I’m figuring it out.

To be transparent, I took some meds that made me gain about 20 pounds.

I’ve lost five, but this other fifteen? Yeah… she’s still here.

I changed my diet, started moving more and honestly, nothing worked.

And being almost 50, it’s definitely been on my mind.

So after doing my research on GLP-1, I reached out to Ivy RX and they’ve partnered with me for my weight loss journey.

How you start your day truly sets the tone. For me, it’s slowing down with a cup of matcha. The process feels calm, intentional, and reminds me to take on the day with ease instead of rushing.

When I first started working from home chileee it was chaotic! Now, simple routines like making matcha in the morning keep me grounded.

Sometimes it’s not about rushing into the day…it’s about creating routines that set the tone for it. 💛

Matcha used @bujimatcha

My Matcha Recipe
I like my matcha sweet 😝
1 teaspoon of matcha
2 teaspoon of matcha (stronger)
Almond milk
.5 - 1oz honey
Ice
20-30 ml water
Fresh strawberries (3-4)
Powder Sugar ( just a little)
Once I mix the matcha and water. I warm the honey and mix in with the matcha. I pour the mix on top of the almond milk and ice.

Froth
Heavy whipping cream and Almond milk even parts. Add strawberry syrup to your liking 🙃…

Can we talk about how important the company you keep really is? At 49, I think back on moments that could’ve made me or broke me.
Like when I said I wanted to do makeup and everybody laughed.
Or when I was in the projects talking about becoming a celebrity hairstylist folks were like, ‘ok girl.’ Even now, stepping into influencing, smirks, the smart remarks … and these are people I know.
But here’s the thing, dream killers are real. They come in the form of mom, dad, aunt, cousin friend, cousin 🫠. Sometimes people just can’t understand how you could dream that big. But that’s not for them to understand that’s between you and God.
Now, I’ve learned not to even entertain certain conversations, and that’s okay.
Sis, I’m here to tell you whatever it is you’re chasing, you got this. It may be hard, don’t quit stay prayed up God got you.

So I finally made it to @winsomeprime ✨.
Met up with @whitneybjordan for happy hour, the vibe was cool . Their happy hour menu, most of the appetizers and cocktails were only $7 🙃.

Now let’s talk favorites those truffle fries 😮‍💨… hands down the best I’ve had. The lemon drop was pretty solid too.

I still need to go back for dinner before I can give a full review, but if you’re looking for a happy hour spot with good snacks + cocktails, this is worth checking out. Word on the street is Fridays are the move 🤏🏽😉.

A Wednesday in my life 🙃…

Started my day the only way I know how with a strawberry matcha from @meritcoffee 🍵. It just sets the tone.

Then it was off to the salon. She sat in my chair and said, “Bridgett, I want to make them sea sick.” Me: say less. 😂

Meanwhile, I’m watching the clock because I’m meeting @whitneybjordan later. Still gotta get home, beat my face, and figure out an outfit 😩.

But I pulled it together we made it to @winsomeprime for happy hour (and trust me, that deserves its own post 👀).

By the time I got home, I was done. Straight to the shower, skincare routine on, and finally ending the night with a glass of bubbly 🥂.

Because if Wednesday doesn’t feel like a full marathon sometimes… whew.

As summer comes to an end, I’ve honestly been the most focused I’ve ever been. I told myself after my birthday I was gonna put my head down, and that’s exactly what I did. No Sunday Fundays ( ikr), no outside or nothing

But with that focus, I can truly say I’ve accomplished some goals and grown in areas I’ve been working on since stepping into this influencer life!
Chile, It’s been a long long long journey, but the lessons, the discipline, the tenacity it’s all been worth it.
