I think I’m finally getting over the worst of Covid. But, boy, is my body tired. I’m so thankful because I know it could have been much worse! The joy of this week as been all of you sweet friends checking up on me and watching this gorgeous amaryllis bloom!

Today is rainy and chilly, but the southern groundhog said that spring is coming soon. I planted some tulip bulbs for the first time this year, and I’m crossing my fingers they’ll actually pop through.

The dining room is ready for a festive fiesta! I just got my Grannie Ella’s table set up in my home, and it reminds me of all the fond memories around it growing up. The ceramic tree was Mama’s last Christmas gift to me, and all the Fitz & Floyd items were given to me through the years by my parents. The red plates are the Fitz & Floyd Winter Holiday pattern. Each year for my birthday and Christmas starting when I was 15, I got a place setting of it. I’m so glad Mama had the forethought to do that. It’s beautiful and exactly what I would have picked out on my own!

A very foggy morning! This tree is in the picture window again, and I love it there. It is the 6.5’ flocked alpine for from Balsam Hill that was modified to fit in this Chinoiserie planter. I’ve done it this way for 3 years now, and I’m always so pleased with it! It is adorned with all of my paternal grandmother‘s vintage Shiny Brite ornaments. It brings me so much joy!
