✨ Sentimental Sunday ✨ They were sitting outside a little roadside junk shop — two petite blue chairs, a little faded and full of charm. It was 2009, and I had just returned from two years living in India. My mom and I were on the long, familiar drive home from helping my brother move back to college when we spotted them. We called it “shopping our way home” — something we were especially good at. She saw them first. “Oh, we have to stop.” They were hers instantly. The kind of spontaneous treasure that only shows up when you aren’t looking. They lived in her bedroom, and I think she always meant to reupholster them. I probably will, too. But for now, they’ve been happily rearranged around my home. Tucked into corners, floated in front of windows, lending their charm wherever they go. They may never have a “final” spot (I am a chronicrearranger, after all), but I love them. Not just because they’re sweet and useful. But because every time I see them, I think of that drive, that day, and her. (Oh, and P.S. Peek the @ridhiblockprint pillow covers that perfectly complement the blue! My favorite Amazon block print brand now has it’s own Instagram account — be sure to give them a follow!) • • • • • • • Vintage Home Style | Vintage Decor | Eclectic Style | Grandmillennieal Home | Colorful Home | Home Inspiration | Collected Home | Curated Home | Traditional Home | Sentimental Style | Curating a Joyful Life | The Sentimental Decorator | Joyful Rituals for Home sentimentalsunday sentimentalhome curatingjoy thesentimentaldecorator sentimentalstyle hervintagehaven sentimentaldecor homeswithastory vintagehomedecor styledwithsentiment styleyourstory heirloomhome vintagehome
