My nephews and niece (and their parents and grandparents) came over to celebrate my birthday this weekend, and I wanted to have a little bit of spooky season fun for the kids! I wasn’t sure if these two needlepoint pieces my mama created were “my style” or how I’d make them work in my home. But here’s the thing about pieces with a story. They always seem to find their place.

Summer suppers call for a table that feels like a coastal getaway — even if the ocean’s miles away.

I layered RIDHI Block Print’s “Columbia Blue” scalloped placemats and napkins (gifted) with my vintage Fitz & Floyd Coquille shell dishes, faux blue hydrangeas in a woven vase, and my mom’s pewter shell platter for a mix of old and new that feels timeless.

Wicker-shade rechargeable lamps (a favorite Crown & Ivy Belk find), glowing candles in my Grannie’s hurricanes, and a scattering of collected seashells set the scene for a bubbly toast — dressed up with the Beau Bottles Pink Seashells wrap (gifted) that makes any celebration feel extra special.
