As someone who pretty body neutral / body positive, the way that my postpartum body has been having a negative affect on my mental state has really thrown me for a loop. I’ve worked really hard to have this positive mindset, but lately I’ve been getting back into ancient thought patterns that just don’t serve me. So, I’m trying really hard to work through those things.

One thing I’ve been trying to do, which is harder in the winter with freezing temps, is practice not hiding from my body. It’s so easy to burry myself in sweats Adam Sandler style every day. But the more that I “face myself” the easier it is to accept and love myself where I’m at. Vs the imagine that I have in my mind.

My fav lip combo right now. This drug store liner is an OG and I have one in each of my bags/ purses. It works with every gloss/ lipstick and I’ve even used it as eyeliner before.

I’ll be the first to admit I slept on these @summerfridays lip oils, and boy do I regret it. They’re super hydrating without being overly sticky and I’m so glad I scooped up 2 colors.

I’m 12 months postpartum and none of my clothes fit the way they used to. It has been a lot harder this time to not let the way my body looks have an impact on how I feel about myself. One thing I’m doing to try to combat this is buying myself some things that FIT and make me feel confident. I don’t have the budget to rebuild my whole wardrobe, so for now I’m starting with the basics.
