I love this cute Farm Fio romper for pretty much any summer get-together from BBQs to graduations to parties. It’s 100% cotton, has a button front, band collar, a self-tie belt for waist definition, and pleated puff shoulders. The inseam is about 4″ and the leg opening is roomy with a super flattering cut. You can pair it with wedges like I did for dinner, or throw on your sneakers or sandals for lunch or shopping. The light cotton fabric will keep you nice and cool. Fit is true to size.

The Farm Rio dress is a long-sleeve mini dress with a flattering cinched waist that creates a beautiful hourglass figure. The sleeves are a subtle balloon-sleeve, which feels very breezy and feminine. It has a deep V neckline with ties if you prefer to keep things a bit more covered. The ties have super fun beading on the ends, which is one of my favorite details. Fit is true to size.

I layered one of my favorite Veronica Beard Scuba dickey blazers over the dress for an elevated touch. This blazer is especially great for travel because it doesn't wrinkle. I like to have a layer like this on hand during the summer when I'll be going from the hot outdoors to buildings with A/C, so I don't get too chilly. The fit on these blazers runs true to size.

To finish my outfit, I added my go-to See By Chloe platform wedges in gold (I have these in THREE colors!) and a gorgeous Loewe woven tote. The platforms are another tropical vacation essential for me. They're very comfortable and are great for adding height. I wear them with dresses, shorts, skirts, pants... everything!

Skirt season is in... and the stylist will see you now! ;)

Skirts have always been a classic wardrobe staple, but we've seen a huge resurgence of them in fashion over the last few years. It started with chic mini skirts... but now is the season to bring the drama with bold, longer skirts. Think voluminous fits, bright colors, fun patterns, and sculptural details!

Styling longer skirts can be a bit trickier... the key is maintaining or creating a flattering figure. For example, the sculptural peplum-like details on the beautiful black-and-white skirt I'm wearing, combined with the flutter-sleeve top, create the illusion of a lovely hourglass figure. Voluminous fits and sculptural details on skirts can also help to strategically balance out an inverse-triangle body shape when paired with a more form-fitting top.

When it comes to dressing for summer, my top priorities are breathable, lightweight, versatile, stylish clothing... for materials, I look for cotton, chambray, viscose, rayon, modal, bamboo, and linen (though I'm VERY selective with my linen because the wrinkles drive me crazy). I also generally try to avoid anything too tight. Tighter fits restrict airflow and trap more heat.

These wardrobe basics fit the bill on all accounts. The denim shorts are very comfortable, versatile, and chic. I love the subtle distressing and flattering wider leg. And the openwork top is super easy breezy. I layered it over a nude cropped tank top, but you could also wear it over swimwear, a pretty bralette, or neutral tank. To finish off my look, I chose a pair of slide-on heeled mules. The nude color helps to elongate the leg and the heel really elevates the look. You could easily swap the heels for flat sandals or sneakers to keep things casual.

This beautiful red and white one-piece swimsuit is by Milly. It has a chic cutout in the center with a universally flattering deep V neckline. The straps are removable, but I like that they help keep everything secure so you can do activities without worrying about adjusting your swimsuit. The fit is true to size; I’m wearing a small.

The matching coverup, also by Milly, is equally as chic and everything you’d want in a coverup… it’s lightweight, it has sleeves for additional sun protection, it’s easy to pack, and it can double as a dress with a simple slip layered underneath. Fit is also true to size.

I love my cover-ups to play double duty, especially when I have limited space in my suitcase. This dress by @peixoto is a heavy-hitter for me, because of its gorgeous details, lightweight material, and versatility. It has pretty lace panels and the most stunning neckline and hemline. The sleeves give you a little more coverage and the elastic at the waist provides slimming definition. I like the white color since it easily coordinates with a lot of my swimwear, but if you prefer a different color, this dress is also available in 6 other colors!

I’m wearing a black knit top by Open Edit. It’s thick and structured enough to wear without a bra if you are smaller-chested. If you need a bra, I would suggest strapless since the neckline is square and the straps on a regular bra would likely show. The top is cropped and body-skimming so tucking isn’t an issue. The blazer is SO good because of its sophisticated details like the luxe gold buttons and structured, padded shoulders. The shoulders create width across the top, which in contrast with the tailored waist, gives the illusion of a smaller waist. The cotton blend fabric is thick enough to provide structure but is also quite breathable and lightweight for those who run hot. Since this blazer is denim, you can style it multiple ways: casually for lunch or dress it up for work or dinner.

In this look, I styled the blazer with one of my favorite basic white tees by ATM, a pair of cropped white jeans by L’Agence, and some neutral Sam Edelman pumps. Pairing the blazer with whites and light neutrals like this feels so fresh and springy.
