Here’s what I love about each of these pieces…
1 | The white button-down is a perfect example of a classic basic with a modern twist. The cropped fit is very flattering, and the short sleeves with button-tab cuffs feel really utilitarian and cool.
2 | This brown belt has been a heavy hitter since the moment I got it. The oval gold belt buckle is timeless in its design. It’s just a really lovely versatile basic to have in your closet.
3 | It’s not often you can find a pair of denim shorts that fit well, feel super comfortable, are flattering, have a great wash/design, and are affordable… but these check all the boxes!!! If you buy one pair of shorts this season, this is the pair to buy!
4 | A light neutral blazer is a sophisticated layer that adds instant polish to any outfit… and it’s the perfect basic to carry for when you are in an air-conditioned building and need something to throw over your shoulders in the summertime.

This beautiful one-shoulder cotton dress from ME+EM is sophisticated, simple, elegant, and SO comfortable. It is a dress you will want to wear again and again and again this spring and summer… on a beach vacation, by the pool, out to dinner, to any party, and even running errands with sneakers or flats…it’s that versatile!

The one-shoulder neckline adds a dash of sexy and modernity to the dress. It has a flattering smocked bodice that feels very secure. Depending on your comfort level and size of your bust, you can even wear it with or without a strapless bra. There’s also a thin grip strip at the top that helps keep it in place, so you don’t have to worry about tugging or pulling. The skirt of the dress is a gauzy cotton that’s very breathable and lightweight… perfect for those hot summer days! It is lined so you don’t have to worry about any see-through factor either. The blazer is SO good because of the elevated details like the luxe gold buttons and structured, padded shoulders. The blazer is SO good because of its sophisticated details like the luxe gold buttons and structured, padded shoulders. The shoulders create width across the top, which in contrast with the tailored waist, gives the illusion of a smaller waist. The cotton blend fabric is thick enough to provide structure but is also quite breathable and lightweight for those who run hot. Since this blazer is denim, you can style it multiple ways: casually for lunch or dress it up for work or dinner.

In this look, I styled the blazer with one of my favorite basic white tees by ATM, a pair of cropped white jeans by L’Agence, and some neutral Sam Edelman pumps. Pairing the blazer with whites and light neutrals like this feels so fresh and springy.

I completed the look with some cool Le Specs aviator sunglasses and my beautiful Bottega Veneta cassette bag that I’ve owned for a few years. All of these pieces run true to size.

The Farm Rio dress is a long-sleeve mini dress with a flattering cinched waist that creates a beautiful hourglass figure. The sleeves are a subtle balloon-sleeve, which feels very breezy and feminine. It has a deep V neckline with ties if you prefer to keep things a bit more covered. The ties have super fun beading on the ends, which is one of my favorite details. Fit is true to size.

I layered one of my favorite Veronica Beard Scuba dickey blazers over the dress for an elevated touch. This blazer is especially great for travel because it doesn't wrinkle. I like to have a layer like this on hand during the summer when I'll be going from the hot outdoors to buildings with A/C, so I don't get too chilly. The fit on these blazers runs true to size.

To finish my outfit, I added my go-to See By Chloe platform wedges in gold (I have these in THREE colors!) and a gorgeous Loewe woven tote. The platforms are another tropical vacation essential for me. They're very comfortable and are great for adding height. I wear them with dresses, shorts, skirts, pants... everything!

Skirt season is in... and the stylist will see you now! ;)

Skirts have always been a classic wardrobe staple, but we've seen a huge resurgence of them in fashion over the last few years. It started with chic mini skirts... but now is the season to bring the drama with bold, longer skirts. Think voluminous fits, bright colors, fun patterns, and sculptural details!

Styling longer skirts can be a bit trickier... the key is maintaining or creating a flattering figure. For example, the sculptural peplum-like details on the beautiful black-and-white skirt I'm wearing, combined with the flutter-sleeve top, create the illusion of a lovely hourglass figure. Voluminous fits and sculptural details on skirts can also help to strategically balance out an inverse-triangle body shape when paired with a more form-fitting top.
